Portfolio manager Mary McLaughlin has left AMP Capital, after a restructuring.

AMP Capital has restructured the equities portfolio management of its multi-manager team, resulting in the departure of portfolio manager Mary McLaughlin.

McLaughlin, who was portfolio manager for the AMP Capital Responsible Investment Leaders Share fund, left on 19 June.

Her departure comes after AMP Capital combined its manager research team with that of ipac in December, following the merger of AMP and Axa Asia-Pacific, which led to the departure of senior portfolio managers Van Athukorala and John Zavone.

The current restructuring will see AMP Capital head of listed multi-manager funds Tanya Debakhapouve return from the company's Singapore office to Sydney and she will become lead portfolio manager for all AMP Capital equities funds, including the AMP Capital Responsible Investment Leaders Share Fund.

She will be responsible for investment strategy and portfolio construction, and will provide input into manager-selection decisions.

Debkhapouve will be supported by a co-portfolio manager, who will maintain responsibility for manager selection and monitoring of the fund's exposures.

The co-portfolio manager for the AMP Capital Responsible Investment Leaders Share Fund is senior portfolio manager Sally Boone, who will return from parental leave in mid-July.

Boone is a former portfolio manager of the fund and was in charge between 2007 and 2009.

She will also be co-portfolio manager for large caps international equities across the entire portfolio.
