Threadneedle names Clifford Lau as head of Asia-Pacific fixed income.

Threadneedle has appointed Clifford Lau as head of the Asia-Pacific fixed income team.

Lau, who will be based in Singapore, joined the firm from Pramerica Fixed Income, the asset management division of Prudential Financial, where he was head of the Singapore office.

The UK-headquartered asset manager, which has offices in Australia, recently created the Asia-Pacific role, after a restructure of the fixed income team.

Threadneedle also appointed Zara Kazaryan as emerging market debt fund manager.

She will be based in London.

Kazaryan joins Threadneedle from G2 Capital Partners, formerly known as Alcantara Asset Management.

There, she was a portfolio manager and responsible for a long-only emerging markets fixed income fund.
