Simon Marais' fund has been added to five platforms.

The Orbis/SM Australia Equity Fund managed by contrarian fund manager Simon Marais has been listed on five platforms: BT Wrap, Macquarie Wrap, netwealth, Asgard and Hub 24.

The support from the platforms comes after the fund received ratings from research agencies Zenith, Lonsec, van Eyk and Standard & Poor's Fund Services.

"This is obviously good news and an important step in taking the Orbis Australia funds to the retail market," Orbis Investment Management Australia head of retail Johan de Lange said.

"It has been achieved through some valuable support from financial advisers and we look forward to continuing to strengthen these relationships."

Orbis has two funds on the market: the Orbis/SM Australia Equity Fund and a retail equities fund, the Orbis/SM Australia Opportunity Fund, which has a cash-plus target.
