The legal sector industry fund has shifted some of its cash into equities.

Legalsuper has re-balanced its cash and equities portfolio, transferring a portion of its cash into Australian and international equities.

The Australian equities component of the re-balancing was placed fully with existing manager Cooper Investors.

The remaining cash was invested with current international equity managers Marathon Asset Management and Capital International.

"We thought the current market offered some opportunities in equities, so we decided to take advantage of them," legalsuper chief executive Andrew Proebstl said.
