Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM) has hired Michael Jenneke as a director and investment manager to its Australian equities team.

Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM) has hired Michael Jenneke as a director and investment manager to its Australian equities team.

The manager, however, lost two members from its equities team.

Investment manager Madelyn Hall left after 10 years with the firm, while former CSAM database administrator and analyst James Barrett resurfaced in a job with Citi. Barrett joins the firm's global infrastructure research team as an analyst.

Hall, who began with CSAM as a graduate, researched stocks in the retail and construction sectors.

It is believed she is taking some time off to travel and will move to Queensland, where she was originally from.

Jenneke was an internal appointment, having moved from the firm's investment banking division.

He worked in the equities research team as a director of Australian retail research.

"As a highly-rated analyst with over 16 years buy and sell side research experience in Australian equities, Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the asset management business," CSAM head of Australian equities Stephen Giubin said.

Jenneke's previous role will be filled by equities research team vice president Andrew McLennan.

The firm is currently searching for a replacement for Barrett.
