Fund manager hires two people to grow its client relationships and investments.

Acadian Asset Management (Acadian) has hired former MLC Implemented Consulting business development manager Andrew Hair as vice president of client and consultant relationships.

In the job, Hair will be responsible for managing the relationship between the investment manager and its asset consultants and institutional investors.

"Given our client base we needed someone who had the academic credentials as well as the experience. Andrew fitted into this role," Acadian chief executive Chris Clayton said.

Hair also worked with Mercer Investment Consulting in the UK as an asset consultant.

Acadian has also hired Sam Sidhu as an analyst to its three person investment team.

Sidhu previously worked with Colonial First State. In his job with Acardian, Sidhu will work with the head of portfolio construction and trading and research analyst.

"These appointments are great additions to the team, with both Andrew and Sam bringing key skills and talent that will help us continue to grow and develop our business," Clayton said.
