Investment manager responsible for sustainability has left the Melbourne-based fund manager.

Portfolio Partners investment manager Amanda McCluskey has left the organisation.

In February 2006 McCluskey joined Portfolio Partners to the newly-created role of sustainability manager. In the job, McCluskey worked with the firm's long/short sustainability trust.

"Amanda was offered a fantastic opportunity with a listed bank to help drive sustainability through that organisation. We wish her well in her new job," Portfolio Partners chief executive Craig Bingham said.

Portfolio Partners has a short list of candidates for McCluskey's job. A replacement will be announced shortly.

"We remain committed to the area of sustainability and will shortly launch a long only version of our long/short sustainability trust."

"Sustainability has become mainstream now and is part of every investment decision process," Bingham said.
