Industry super fund Intrust Super has awarded a $40 million mandate to Australian equities fund manager Dalton Nicol Reid.

The super fund holds $1.6 billion in assets under management and has more than 130,000 members.

Intrust Super chief executive Brendan O’Farrell said Dalton Nicol Reid’s “long-term outperformance and its efficient investment process focusing on quality stocks were key factors in the decision to award this mandate”.

“Dalton Nicol Reid is a great addition to our existing Australian equity manager line-up, providing an even greater level of diversification to our members”.

Dalton Nicol Reid acting chief executive Justine Hickey said the company’s long-term business strategy has been to increase its presence in the institutional space of the investment management industry.

“We are beginning to see the benefits of this strategy come to fruition,” Ms Hickey said.
