Boston-based multi-sector manager Windham Capital Management has secured a $150 million mandate from an industry super fund.

The mandate has been allocated into Windham’s risk regime investment strategy used in the United States, which according to Windham Asset management aims to achieve “CPI plus five per cent”.

“Our risk management approach combined with access to our research and insights is seeing considerable interest growing in both Australia and the United States,” said Windham chief investment officer Lucas Turton.

This is the first mandate in the Australian market for Windham Capital Management.

Greg Johnson, a director at Windham’s Australian affiliate Apostle Asset Management, said the heavy research-backed approach taken by Windham makes the manager an appealing option.

“Our risk management approach combined with access to our research and insights is seeing considerable interest growing in both Australia and the United States,” he said.
