Boutique Australian equities manager ECP Asset Management has launched a national office in Sydney.

Andrew Dale will join the new office as portfolio manager, according to a statement by the company.

Mr Dale has 17 years of experience in financial services and was most recently managing director of global natural resources with Macquarie Bank.

He has also held analyst positions with ABN Amro and Yahoo, as well as a role with KPMG.

ECP Asset Management chief executive Manny Pohl said opening a new office in Sydney is an important step because it will allow ECP Asset Management to work more closely with its institutional clients in Sydney and Melbourne.

Mr Pohl welcomed Mr Dale to the team and said he looked “forward to the contribution he will bring”.
