Global fund manager Capital Group has appointed Capital Group Investment Limited (CGIL) as the responsible entity for Capital Group funds in Australia, replacing Pinnacle Investment Management.

It has also appointed Jorden Brown as its first head of wholesale sales for Capital Group in Australia.

Mr Brown will be responsible for relationships and business development across dealerships, advisers, platforms and research houses.

He joins Capital Group from his role as general manager of adviser distribution at Perpetual.

Angela Roberts has been appointed as senior manager of the responsible entity and will oversee all RE duties.

Ms Roberts joins Capital Group from Wilson HTM and has considerable experience in governance, fund operations and investor relations.

Capital Group head of Australia Paul Hennessy said Mr Brown and Ms Roberts will ”bring significant and valuable experience to Capital Group and will be instrumental in building a deeper level of engagement with our existing clients and prospective investors”.

“In 2012, we opened a full representative office in Sydney, with the objective of building over the medium to long term a meaningful presence in Australia to better service investors,” he said.

"These appointments and the move to take the RE role in-house are further steps in this journey.”
