MLC will provide insurance and claims assessment management to Qantas Super’s 33,000 members.
Members will be offered MLC’s best doctor’s service, which will give them access to a network of world-leading specialists providing second opinion medical advice.
This ensures they obtain the right diagnosis and treatment plan.
Qantas Super chief executive Jane Perry said the decision to appoint MLC was based on a comprehensive review of the fund’s insurance arrangements and consideration of the needs of its members.
“MLC understands the complex needs of our fund, and our partnership will ensure we continue to enhance our offer to meet the current and future needs of our members,” said Ms Perry.
MLC general manager, group insurance Lara Bourguignon said the new appointment further strengthened MLC’s existing relationship with Qantas Super.
“This is an important relationship for MLC and we’re looking forward to providing members with value and benefits to build confidence in their financial future,” said Ms Bourguignon.
