Financial Synergy chief executive Stephen Mackley said the changes had been tested and implemented despite only being announced by the Australian Taxation Office in recent weeks.
The update includes SuperStream rollover messaging formats, including those recently identified by the industry during gateway interoperability testing, Financial Synergy stated.
The firm said Acurity is also now certified to lodge superannuation tax file number (TFN) integrity check transactions (Super TIC).
Under SuperStream regulations, funds are required to use the Super TIC service where a member or other fund requests a transfer of their benefit, Financial Synergy stated. The service allows the fund to validate a member’s TFN and other details prior to the transfer, the firm added.
Mr Mackley also said Financial Synergy continued to build SuperStream rollover messaging functionality into the core Acurity product.
“Our core application will ensure our clients can meet all rollover messaging requirements. There are no bolt-ons or extra modules needed,” he said.
