ASP takes up cloud-based board app

IQ Group has announced that the Affiliation of Superannuation Practitioners Limited (ASP) is the latest organisation to implement its cloud-based boardroom technology.

iqBoard is a distribution platform that allows board members to streamline board pacts by using a secure cloud application.

“We really weren’t looking for just an online repository,” ASP company secretary Sarah O’Brien said. “iqBoard provides added functionality such as agenda and meeting setting capabilities plus online voting on resolutions.

“These functions will benefit the ASP now and will allow us to incorporate the solution further into the board’s processes and continue to improve our efficiencies.”

IQ Group said the app can reduce preparation time for board secretariats by up to 80 per cent and increase board efficiency and cost-saving measures.

The app is hosted by the company’s onshore cloud computing tool iqCloud.

“We were faced with recurring issues for distributing each board pack, including limitations on corporate email file sizes and firewall filters not allowing documents through, as well as the administration of version control with any last minute changes needed,” Ms O’Brien said.

“The iqBoard solution now solves all of these challenges.”

iqBoard was developed in Australia and is now in operation with board members across a range of industries.
