CIMB Australia joins forces with RBS Morgans

CIMB Australia and RBS Morgans have entered into a strategic alliance to work together in their corporate advisory and capital markets analysis in Australia.

Under the agreement, CIMB Australia will provide ASX-listed research reports to Morgans for distribution to their clients, as well as access to certain proprietary platforms and data.

The two companies will also work collaboratively to manage equity capital markets (ECM) mandates. 

The agreement was signed by Nick Rowe the country head of CIMB Australia and Brian Sheahan the managing director of Morgans.

 
 

"We are pleased to announce this strategic agreement with Morgans. We have enjoyed over 15 years working together ... The agreement is a natural evolution and an important step for both companies,” said Mr Rowe. 

CIMB Australia will gain access to Morgan’s distribution platform of over 330,000 customers. Meanwhile, CIMB’s research department that covers over 1,000 stocks of Asia Pacific region will be made available to Morgans.

The alliance will be overseen by an advisory board consisting of members from both companies.
