Shannon Sweeney to lead team

Global fund transaction network Calastone has appointed Shannon Sweeney as managing director, Australia.

Ms Sweeney, who has more than 15 years' experience in the financial services industry, most recently worked as product manager for Global Fund Segment Strategy at RBC.

She will help Calastone to build on the focused market development as the company cements its expansion into the Australian funds management marketplace.

Ms Sweeney has also previously worked at RBC Royal Bank as director of client solutions.

Chief executive of Calastone, Julien Hammerson, said that Ms Sweeney would be a valuable asset to the company.

"We are delighted to have Shannon on board to drive our business at a key point in the development of Calastone in the Australian managed funds marketplace," he said.
