The recently launched Morphic Global Opportunities Fund (MGOF) has expanded its investment capabilities and board

The manager has appointed former analyst at Cheung Capital, Ronald Yu, as an investment analyst.

Morphic has also added a number of board members, including Nicholas Minogue, the former head of risk at the Macquarie Group as non-executive chairman; Gerard Minack, a global cross-asset strategist for Morgan Stanley; and David Lamb, the director for strategy and innovation at investment IT firm e-Clipse Online, as non-executive directors.

The managing director of Morphic, Jack Lowenstein, said the business now has an investment team that has the breadth and depth to fully deliver their strategy and is competitive, with most well established teams investing in global equities from an Australian base.

"We also believe it is vital that we observe the highest levels of governance from the board downwards, and are very gratified that such an experienced, talented and well respected group of individuals has joined us at the board level."

The MGOF invests in global equities, using a combination of individual stock research and economic 'top-down' analysis, and is marketed mainly to retail investors via advisers.
