NAB Asset Servicing will be able to provide front-end equity transaction services, after teaming up with Deutsche Bank.

National Australia Bank's custody division NAB Asset Servicing (NAS) has teamed up with Deutsche Securities Australia, Deutsche Bank's equities arm, to provide transition management services.

"Until now, the business did not have the capability to manage front-end transitions with clients," NAS general manager of capability delivery Carl Spurling said.

"Through our strategic alliance with Deutsche Bank, we are combining NAB's project management and pre-trade tax expertise and asset allocation analysis along with Deutsche Bank's global network and extensive experience in managing asset class transitions," Spurling said.

"Our clients will benefit from a holistic offering," he said.

"By providing access to an established and reputable transition management service we are able to complement NAB's core custody transition service."

Spurling said the partnership was partly the result of the changing demands of clients.

"As our customers' investment strategies evolve, we are delivering world-class local and global products tailored specifically to their needs," he said.

"Deutsche Bank is the partner of choice to support our clients in those regions through its extensive footprint and research capabilities."
