Axa IM has appointed a global head of investment solutions.

Axa Investment Managers (Axa IM) has appointed Laurent Seyer as global head of investment solutions.

Seyer joins from Lyxor Asset Management, where he was chief executive since 2006. Lyxor has about $100 billion in assets under management.

He replaces Thibaud de Vitry, who has left the company.

The appointment will be effective from 2 May.

Seyer will join the management board of Axa IM and report to chief executive Dominique Carrel-Billiard.

"It will be Laurent's mission to keep our solutions offering at the forefront of innovation, from ALM (anti-money laundering) management to multi-asset class investments and integrated funds of hedge funds solutions; as well as to increase its visibility and accelerate the commercial development of Axa IM's solutions business," Carrel-Billiard said.
