Value manager Kinetic Investment Partners has hired small caps specialist Anthony Porto from Credit Suisse as an investment analyst.

"We continue to believe there are exciting investment ideas in the small cap segment," Kinetic founder Richard Sharpe said.

As of June 2007, Kinetic had $700 million under management.
