Investment manager AMP Capital Investors has hired Simon Warner as head of macro markets fixed interest. He will report to head of fixed interest Mark Beardow.

Warner was previously with JP Morgan as a chief investment officer in the company's Singapore office. He will oversee AMP's Australian and New Zealand interest rate, currencies and money market teams.

Beardow said Warner had extensive international experience managing interest rates, investments and currencies.

"This experience has given him a deep understanding of the domestic and global influences that affect performance in macro markets," he said.
