CP2 has hired ex-VFMC chief Syd Bone.

Infrastructure manager CP2 has hired former Victorian Funds Management Corporation (VFMC) head Syd Bone as its chief executive.

Bone worked at VFMC for five years and also worked at Baring Asset Management and Towers Perrin (now Towers Watson).

CP2 invests in global infrastructure assets. The firm's clients include sovereign, pension and endowment funds in Europe, North America, and Australia.

The firm has investments in a number of assets including Transurban Group, Zurich Airport and Sydney's Airport Rail Link.

"Our values of thought leadership, performance and governance are well founded at CP2 as is our partnership culture," CP2 founder Peter Doherty said.

"Both will continue to thrive with Syd's appointment. I welcome him to CP2."
