The industry fund hires senior management for its new advice business.

UniSuper has hired two senior managers to its financial planning business, Financial Advice Centre.

In April 2009, UniSuper hired Chris Davies to spearhead its full-service financial planning business. Davies was previously BT Financial head of advice.

Jason Holandsjo has been hired as manager of operations and product and Alex Aracas been appointed within the firm as a national practice manager.

Holandsjo will be responsible for product and research. He previously worked at Australian Unity as head of legal and compliance.

Aracas will oversee the national phone-based advice service for the fund's financial planning business.

Aracas joined UniSuper in February 2008. He previously worked at the industry superannuation fund-backed group Industry Fund Financial Planning.

"I am very pleased to have two such talented individuals in key senior roles as we build our new financial advice service for UniSuper members," UniSuper executive manager Chris Davies said.

The fund's full-service advice service is set to launch in late 2009.
