OptiMix has overhauled three of its portfolios in a bid to extract alpha from the market.

Multi-manager OptiMix has added four managers to three of its portfolios.

Credit Agricole has been appointed to the global shares portfolio, while Batterymarch Financial Management and Pioneer Investment Management have been added to the global emerging markets share portfolio.

ING Investment Management (INGIM) will also be added to the enhanced cash portfolio.

Under the changes, Batterymarch and Pioneer will replace PanAgora Asset Management and Deutsche Asset Management.

INGIM replaces UBS Global Asset Management.

"These managers offer distinctive investment and research approaches. Each has a particular approach to extract alpha from the market," INGIM multi strategies group chief investment officer Emmanuel Calligeris said.

"OptiMix has an extremely rigorous selection process for deciding investment managers.

"We delve into ownership, team expertise, investment process, risk management, complementary skills and quantitative ability."
