The former Vanguard marketing executive takes up a job with the actuarial firm.

Rice Warner Actuaries has hired Colin Bold to head its marketing and sales campaigns.

Bold recently worked at Vanguard as head of marketing. He has over 20 years of experience in financial services.

The appointment follows the firm's bid to boost its branding in the financial services and superannuation industry, according to Rice Warner chief executive Michael Rice.

"We believe there are opportunities for our business by strengthening our brand. Although our consultants have a little bit of a sales bent we believe there is greater scope to have someone with in-depth marketing expertise," he said.

Bold will run all the marketing and sales campaigns on behalf of the firm.

"Rice Warner is a highly-respected brand within financial services. I look forward to playing a part in the continued growth of this dynamic business," Bold said.
