ASFA has reshuffled its policy team following the retirement of director of policy and research Michaela Anderson.

Industry body the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) has reshuffled its policy team following the retirement of director of policy and research Michaela Anderson.

Anderson last month announced she would be retiring from her job with the industry body in July.

ASFA has hired Anne Wittaker to the newly-created job of policy adviser for investments.

Wittaker previously worked as a principal with consultant Mercer Investment Consulting.

Research directors Brad Pragnell and Ross Clare will now have the job titles of director of policy and best practice and director of research and resource centre respectively.

"Following the retirement of Michaela we split the research functions to allow our policy team to focus on specific areas including investments," an ASFA spokesperson said.
