Standard and Poor's (S&P) have made two senior appointments as part of a strategy to integrate the currently separate European and Australian fund research businesses.
Long time S&P employee Mark Hoven has been promoted to global head of sales, marketing and business development.
Hoven has been with the ratings agency since 2001 and currently heads S&P's fund services in Australia.
He will be based in London, but in the meantime will retain responsibility for the Australian fund ratings business.
Kerry Outlaw takes up the post of global head of analytics and operations, also based in London.
Most recently, Outlaw was head of her own change management and operational risk consultancy for financial services firms, but she also spent time at Credit Suisse.
According to S&P executive managing director Larry Neal, the appointments will encourage expansion into new markets such as Asia and North America.
"Mark Hoven and Kerry Outlaw's depth of skills and experience will be vital in leading the integration of our successful European and Australian fund businesses and managing our global expansion," Neal said.
"We want to transform S&P's fund services into a globally-integrated business model using a consistent rating philosophy, methodology and rating scale."
