Espreon has appointed former SAI Global chief executive Tony Scotton as its chief executive.

Financial information services provider Espreon has named former SAI Global chief executive Tony Scotton as its new chief executive.

Effective from 1 May, Scotton will replace Iain Keddie, whose employment will cease on 30 April.

SAI Global is the controlling entity of Espreon Group and as a result SAI will levy a monthly charge of $14,500 for Scotton's services to Espreon.

"Mr Scotton will not be personally remunerated by any entity on the Espreon Group for these services. His remuneration from SAI will remain as previously disclosed by SAI in its annual report," SAI Global company secretary Hannah Myllyoja said.

Last month, it was announced SAI Global had failed in its attempt to compulsorily acquire Espreon after securing only a little more than two-thirds of the group.

At the same time, Scotton was made a director on the Espreon board.
