NGS Super launches a new website to provide financial education for its members.

Providing financial information for members is a key element of Non-Government Schools Superannuation Fund's (NGS Super) recently launched website.

"There is a naturally strong focus on financial education, particularly for women, who make up about 70 per cent of our membership. This starts right from the home page with a short video on understanding superannuation," NGS Super chief executive Anthony Rodwell-Ball said.

"We've moved away from talking heads to action style clips to engage members and communicate more effectively."

The website includes information on investment options, calculators, product disclosure statements, annual reports and insurance costs to assist members.

According to Rodwell-Ball the website also showcases NGS Super's commitment to transparency.

"We publish meeting outcomes and monthly investment updates, and offer members a free performance comparison with other funds through ChantWest and AppleCheck," Rodwell-Ball said.

Rodwell-Ball said that there was an effort to make the website simple and easy to use.

"Site visitors can explore each feature of the fund through a simple three-step page structure- What is it? How does it work? and How do I do it," Rodwell-Ball said.

NGS Super is the industry fund for Australia's non-government school staff has $2.5 billion in assets more than 80,000 members.
