Dixon appoints Passport Capital

Dixon Advisory has added a US fund manager to its resources fund.

Financial services firm Dixon Advisory has appointed United States fund manager Passport Capital to its Global Resource Masters Fund.

Dixon Advisory has invested in three strategies managed by Passport Capital. These strategies include investments in materials, energy and agriculture.

"We have a strong belief in this manager to deliver good returns. We have invested a significant portion of our portfolio to Passport Capital," Dixon Advisory fund manager Peter Barany said.

The Global Resource Masters Fund is a fund-of-fund investment vehicle listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. The fund invests in a mix of investments, including exchange-traded funds, resource companies and physical commodities.

The portfolio has about $100 million in assets, with two-thirds invested in equities and one-third invested in physical commodities.
