Asgard witnesses a strong increase in tax deduction notices through its online process.

Asgard has experienced a strong take-up from financial advisers using its online tax deduction process, with almost 50 per cent of notices submitted online since July this year.

The BT Financial Group-owned platform introduced the new online tax deduction process in July this year.

Since the launch, 46 per cent of the personal tax deduction notices (PTDNs) have been lodged online.

"We're really pleased advisers have embraced the new online option, which they've told us has saved them time and generally made their lives a little easier," Asgard national product manager Kelly Power said.

"The great thing about the online process is even if advisers submitted the PTDN on behalf of their clients at the busiest time of the year, they weren't affected by any manual processing delays that may occur."

In July, BT Financial Group general manager of platforms John Shuttleworth said the online tax service was part of a long-term investment program for the Asgard platform.

"We're excited about the next phase of the Asgard investment program that includes a three-year equities program incorporating a new custodial shares solution, an ability to manage corporate actions online and model portfolio tools," Shuttleworth said at the time.

"In addition, we are introducing improved functionality to enable customers to transfer between Asgard's Elements, Master Trust and eWRAP product ranges and are updating our AdviserNET functionality as well as data downloads."
