Rabobank has added a climate change analyst to its global research team.

Agribusiness banking group Rabobank has hired Tracey Allen as an analyst focusing on sustainability, climate change and the water sector.

Allen will work in the research and advisory division, which focuses on the research of food and agribusiness sectors and is part of a global team of 80 research analysts at the bank.

She has worked as an agricultural economic consultant and for consulting firm Hassall & Associates.

"Tracey has impressive experience in water trading and management and in climate change mitigation for the livestock industry," Rabobank research and advisory division general manager Justin Sherrard said.

Allen said her interest in agriculture and food production stemmed from her family's involvement in dairy farming in Cobargo, New South Wales, for 80 years.

"I love heading back down to the farm for a dose of fresh air," she said.
