Wilson HTM Investment Group has announced key changes to its executive line-up and board.

Financial services firm Wilson HTM Investment Group today said Steven Wilson had been appointed group managing director following David Groth's decision to step down as chief executive.

Groth, who has worked for Wilson HTM for over 17 years, made the decision for family reasons. He will be moving to Brisbane and taking a client-facing role as corporate finance director with the firm.

Non-executive director Steven Skala has been appointed non-executive chairman of the group in place of Wilson, who has been executive chairman since 2004.

Separately, the group said Andrew Coppin has joined the firm as head of private wealth management.

Coppin has over 16 years' industry experience and has worked for firms including Merrill Lynch, Bell Potter and Patersons.
