Standard & Poor's Fund Services (S&P) has reinstated its three-star rating on the Goldman Sachs Income Plus Wholesale Fund.

The fund was put on hold in August after Goldman Sachs Asset Management's chief investment officer and the fund's portfolio manager, Andrew Cooke, resigned.

"Following an internal realignment of investment responsibilities, Subash Pillai has been appointed head of multi-sector, adding this function to his existing role as head of fixed income," S&P analyst Vesna Peroska said.

"He is well supported by investment manager Angus Bell, who assumes day-to-day portfolio management responsibilities for the fund.

"We consider that the revised multi-sector team, which the experienced and well-regarded Pillai now leads, is sufficiently positioned to continue to operate this fund."
