Decimal gears up to service its financial planning client base, hiring three senior staff to support the national rollout of its software.

Specialist financial technology vendor Decimal has boosted its internal resources with the appointment of three senior staff to help support the national rollout of its financial planning software to dealer groups and industry funds.

Senior marketers Natalie Baxter and Karen Whelton have joined Decimal's Perth office, while Sydney-based business development manager Duncan Hickman joined the firm in early August.

The new team members will help the firm's sales and marketing efforts keep pace with the demand for technology by independent financial advisers and industry funds, Decimal managing director Jan Kolbusz said.

"We are pleased to see our offer has hit a resounding note across the increasingly sophisticated needs of the Australian financial services sector," he said.

"We anticipate these new roles will help round out our ability to service demand and set us up well for future growth."

As head of marketing, Natalie Baxter has more than 10 years' experience in the telco industry, involved in strategic information technology and network product programmes.

Karen Whelton brings to her new role seven years' marketing experience across a number of industries including semiconductor technology, telecommunications and financial planning software.

Duncan Hickman is an RG146 accredited equities and derivatives adviser, and brings a broad range of experience including time as the director of a web-based financial services company providing general financial advice.
