Standard &Poor's Fund Services (S&P) has reinstated a three-star rating to ING Investment Management (INGIM) large-cap Australian equity funds.

The funds had been on hold since June last year, when portfolio managers Mark East and Paul Cuddy left the company for boutique fund manager Bennelong Funds Management.

The three products are the Australian Share, Blue Chip Imputation and Select Leaders funds.

The portfolio management of the three funds is now in the hands of James Wright (Australian Share), Michael Price (Blue Chip Imputation) and Gian Pandit (Select Leaders). "INGIM has made a number of experienced hires and the resulting team changes have now been in place for more than a year," S&P analyst James Gunn said.

"S&P is optimistic that the team has settled and has sufficient comfort to reinstate the funds' previous three-star ratings."
