S&P has hired two people to its fund research team as it continues to recruit to meet a strong ratings pipeline.

Ratings firm Standard & Poor's (S&P) has hired Andrew Yap and Kirsten Temple as associates to its fund research team.

Yap previously worked at Picher Partners Investment Services. He worked with the firm for 10 years.

Temple previously worked for London-based financial services firm P-Solve Asset Solutions.

Yap will report to property sector head Peter Ward and Temple will report to Australian equities sector head Justine Gorman.

"We are actively recruiting to meet a strong ratings pipeline and are still actively looking for an experienced person to fill an alternatives/fixed interest position," S&P head of research Leanne Milton said.
