The services of the external research providers would not replace AMPFP's own research, but should be seen as an additional service to its financial planners, the company said.
"The review process and appointment of van Eyk and Lonsec will complement the AMPFP product research team and enhance our offering to planners and support their service to clients," AMPFP managing director Michael Guggenheimer said.
"We also recently added to our internal research capabilities and appointed Brendan Irwin, Nick Schoenmaker and Zaffar Subedar to the product research team."
Financial planners will have access to van Eyk's training, support desk, investment roadshows, practice visits, newsletters, investment videos and portfolio construction tools.
Lonsec will provide model portfolios and ongoing strategic input into AMPFP's approved products and services list composition and monitoring process.
