There was a theme of sex and money in the news last week, or more correctly, sex and taxes.

After a string of Australian Taxation Office (ATO) audits on Sydney brothels, it seems intrepid auditors are now looking high and low for sex workers - oh, and the GST they should be collecting.

The Sydney Morning Herald has reported that many prostitutes have departed the city's legitimate brothels after the taxman came knocking. But that doesn't phase the ATO, which relentlessly seeks its share of money wherever it is made.
