State Street Global Advisors has appointed Jacqueline Pang to the Asian branch of its SPDR ETF business.

State Street Global Advisers (SSgA) has hired Jacqueline Pang as head of capital markets for its SPDR exchange traded funds (EFT) business in Asia Pacific.

Based in Hong Kong, Pang will be responsible for overseeing and driving the company's ETF global capital markets' group activities.

She will report to SSgA head of ETF Global Capital Markets Timothy Coyne and SSgA head of ETF in Asia Pacific Frank Henze.

"Jacqueline's appointment reinforces our strategy to broaden support for SPDR ETF investors in the region," Henze said.

"Since the launch of our first ETF in Hong Kong in 1999, we have continued to grow from strength to strength, and currently we have 20 ETFs listed in Asia Pacific."

Prior to joining SSgA, Pang ran the capital markets business at Amundi Investment Solution, where she was responsible for the development of ETFs covering brokers and market makers across Europe.
