Ex-Super Concepts MD Craig Jameson has joined AMP as a director of the company's SMSF division.

AMP's newly-formed self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) business unit, AMP SMSF, has appointed Craig Jameson as director of business operations, effective immediately.

Jameson stepped down from his job as managing director of ANZ-owned SMSF administration specialist Super Concepts in May.

An ANZ spokesperson told InvestorDaily that ANZ Trustees managing director Roberto Scenna continued to act as Super Concepts managing director while a replacement was being sought.

In his new role, Jameson will be accountable for setting up AMP SMSF's business operations.

His appointment follows the launch of AMP's new business unit focused solely on the SMSF market.

He joins Self-Managed Super Fund Professionals' Association of Australia chairman and former Cavendish managing director Andrew Hamilton on the team, reporting to Paul Sainsbury.

Jameson, who was in the role of managing director at Super Concepts since March 2009, was responsible for establishing and implementing the change program that encouraged the business to become a national provider.

Prior to his time with Super Concepts, he was ING Australia head of strategy and transformation of customer solutions between October 2007 and February 2009.

Super Concepts is a wholly-owned subsidiary of OnePath Australia and ANZ.
