Professional Investment Services (PIS) has appointed Steve Quine as manager of its risk and professional standards, reporting directly to chief executive Pete Walther.

Quine has 20 years' experience in financial advice. He joined from his role as head of professional standards at Financial Services Partners (FSP). Prior to this, he was advice and professional standards manager for State Super Financial Services.
"Steve's diversity of experience and expertise has gained him tremendous credibility in the financial services industry," Walther said.
"One of Steve's many strengths is his ability to lead and drive transformational change in the areas of risk and professional standards. He has also built a reputation for delivering on process improvement initiatives that achieve greater compliance and business outcomes."
Kelly Hinton, who stepped up as acting manager of professional standards in September, will continue in the role as ASIC concern leader through to the Enforceable Undertaking.
She will also assist in the handover period.
"We [PIS executive management] will work closely with Kelly to identify the next role and area which can benefit from her substantial experience and skills," Walther said.
