JP Morgan Treasury Services has made a new appointment as part of its expansion.

JP Morgan has appointed Damian Crowley as head of cash and trade sales for its Treasury Services business in Australia and New Zealand following a staff reshuffle.

Crowley brings over 20 years' experience to the role, having moved over from an 18-year stint as senior relationship manager at Citi in Australia and New Zealand. He will provide cash management and trade capabilities to new and existing corporate clients.

"He has product knowledge at a very detailed level, he has worked in various aspects of the treasury services product suite," JP Morgan head of treasury services for Australia and New Zealand Nadia Schiavon told InvestorDaily.

"Also, he has established strong relationships at very senior levels within corporates, so the intent is to really leverage those relationships."

The appointment followed a realignment of roles within the group, Schiavon said.

"We're looking at putting the best people in place to review our client needs and understand our clients and have a broader suite of product capabilities," she said.

"We're continually looking at the team and what we need as we grow our market presence, products and services."

Meanwhile, the Treasury Services business has made a number of hires, including Dennis Grogan as head of client service and delivery, Abhijit Guha as cash product delivery manager, Karen Gilbert as cash product manager, Edwin Lee as cash services technology manager and David Goode as product manager for escrow and liquidity management.

"We are seeing strong demand for treasury services from the growing Australian and New Zealand corporate and institutional markets," Schiavon said.
