Macquarie Private Wealth has boosted its advice team and intends to continue expanding nationwide.
Yesterday, Macquarie Private Wealth announced the appointment of Mark Chartres to its Melbourne office.
The former Intersusse head of wealth management joins the wealth management division as a senior investment adviser.
"This growth story is not just applicable to our Melbourne team, but applies to our offices around the country that are all focused on bringing quality advisers into the business who share our strong focus on client service. In fact, we have grown our advice team by more than 20 in the past few months," Macquarie Private Wealth head Eric Schimpf told InvestorDaily.
"We are finding that now more than ever the number of advisers seeking to speak with us is growing and we are having many positive discussions as a result of that."
He explained that this is a direct result of the work the company has done across areas such as adviser training and support, improving IT systems and focus on regulatory change like the Future of Financial Advice reform.
"As with anything we do the focus is on the clients and I am a firm believer that clients achieve more with advice. Therefore our aim in growing our teams across Australia is to help more advisers help more clients to grow and preserve their wealth," he said.
Commenting on Chartres' appointment, Macquarie Private Wealth state manager for Victoria, Malcolm Cameron said: "At Macquarie Private Wealth we are focused on continuing to build on our team of highly-skilled advisers and by bringing Mark into the team we are pleased to be able to further strengthen our offering to investors in Victoria.
"Clients are looking for financial advice they can trust and having someone of Mark's calibre join the team, adds real value not only to clients here in Victoria, but to the broader business," Cameron said.
