Plum Financial Services has appointed ex-NAB Lara Bourguignon as its managing director to drive business development during upcoming regulatory change.

In her new role, Ms Bourguignon will be responsible for evolving Plum, a branch of NAB's wealth division, as the company prepares for the Stronger Super reforms, commencing July next year.

"Lara joins us at a critical time as Plum continues on its next stage of growth, as well as gearing up for significant regulatory change, including preparing for Stronger Super," Plum executive general manager corporate institutional wealth Scott Hartley said.

Before joining Plum, Ms Bourguignon worked within a senior strategy role for NAB Wealth and was previously head of investment control where she worked closely with the corporate super business.

She has also held positions at Lend Lease, Merrill Lynch and MLC during her career in financial services.

As Plum prepares for industry reform, Ms Bourguignon is hoping to expand the company's capabilities in the sector.

"There is a huge opportunity for Plum to deepen its relationship with members and further grow the business," she said.

"Our strong focus on member services means Plum's members are among the most engaged in the industry."
