The chair of industry fund Intrust Super retires after 22 years of service.

After 22 years of service to the fund, Intrust Super chair Shirley Mellor has announced her retirement.

Intrust chief executive Brendan O'Farrell said Mellor's philosophy of providing members with quality services and benefits has been central in building the organisation into a national leader.

"Her total belief in ensuring that members receive the best value for money in their benefits and services is a core value at Intrust Super that has been central to the fund's success."

He said her success in instilling a culture of service to fund members will continue as a central ethos of the fund.
