Hood Sweeney strengthens board

Three directors have been added to the board of Hood Sweeney as the professional services business seeks further growth opportunities.

Keith Rutherford, Nicolas Edwards and Adrian Zoppa will be added as directors, bringing a new and broader skillset to Hood Sweeney's leadership team.

"All three have been working with Hood Sweeny in senior roles and have demonstrated an outstanding ability to develop solutions and deliver results for clients," said Hood Sweeney managing directors Matthew Rowe.

Hood Sweeney recently announced an aligned partnership with CountPlus which, together with the new appointments, marks an expansion of the company.

"Hood Sweeney is in an exciting stage of its development. we now have the perfect platform for future expansion," Mr Rowe said.

 "The ability to provide a clear career path and funding mechanism for our senior staff to become equity shareholders in the firm will only further strengthen our client service capabilities."

In his new role, Mr Rutherford will lead the technology services team with a focus on client services and expanding the technology services capability.

Mr Edwards will head the health segment and works in the accounting and business advisory team, drawing on more than 20 years' experience as a chartered accountant and lawyer.

He will provide tailored recommendations and taxation advice to medical professionals and healthcare businesses.

Mr Zoppa, a certified financial planner with more than 10 years' experience in professional accounting and financial planning, will lead the financial planning and investment services team at the company.
