The financial services firm hires from its parent company as it creates a new executive role.

Genesys Wealth Advisers has hired Steven Davison as executive director, Genesys Advice Solutions.

In the newly created job, Davison will oversee relationships with the firm's advice network, business acquisitions and recruitment.

He will have four people reporting to him including head of practice development Dimi Napoli, regional managers Steven Schweikert and Ron Wickett and head of mergers and acquisitions and partner investments Jason Phillips.

Davison will report to Genesys Group chief executive John Saint and will be on the executive management team.

Davison previously worked with the Axa Financial Advice Network as head of acquisitions and succession.

"Our executive team is now well equipped and positioned to deliver upon our strategic ambition and build upon the excellent progress we have made this year," Genesys Group chief executive John Saint said.

In October last year, the firm announced plans to grow its planner network. The announcement followed Genesys' decision to implement a new equity arrangement to its member firms.
