FSP has created two new roles to support the dealer group's research offering to advisers.

Financial Services Partners (FSP) has created two new roles to bolster the dealer group's research offering to its member firms, the group has announced.

Former FSP practice manager David Woods has been appointed senior manager of research and investment, and will be responsible for enhancing research functionality across the FSP aligned advice network.

Prior to working at FSP, Woods worked as a financial adviser with RI Advice Group as well as ipac.

In the meantime, Claudia Mah has been appointed to the new role of research manager and will be responsible for researching investments on behalf of the dealer group.

Mah returns to the organisation, where she was formerly an investment researcher, after working in product development, portfolio account management and various reporting operational roles at institutions such as JP Morgan Chase and National Australia Bank.

FSP managing director Geoff Rimmer said both candidates had a strong understanding of the research requirements of financial advisers in addition to technical expertise.

Meanwhile, FPS announced in August that it had created another new role, appointing Allan Crane, who had worked within FSP's sales and development team for ten years, as its new national recruitment manager.

At the time, Rimmer said the group was looking to make a number of new appointments to ensure good resources were in place to support FSP advisers in the changes ahead.
