Three multisector Vanguard Index options have been added to the KeyInvest Funeral Bond and are available through the new disclosure statement dated 24 October 2019.

Derek Emery, general manager of sales and operations at KeyInvest explained that the addition of the new investment options provides investors with an alternative other than the traditional capital guaranteed option.

“This is about providing investment choice in what is a traditionally capital guaranteed product structure, which is currently faced with earning challenges in a sustained low interest rate environment,” Mr Emery said.

“Many of our investors are utilising the Funeral Bond at retirement for Age Pension asset test exemption reasons, giving them an investment timeframe greater than 10 years.

“Advisers and investors want to match these investment timeframes with appropriate asset allocations. We are meeting this need through the introduction of Conservative, Balanced, and Growth investment options to the KeyInvest Funeral Bond.”
